Martin Corry cut a relaxed figure yesterday at Welford Road. England’s Six Nations campaign still leaves him speechless but he does not have time to look back and has not been asked by the RFU to contribute to the post mortem of England’s season. The Heineken Cup quarter- final provides ample focus for the No 8. “It has been fairly easy (coming back to Leicester) because when you’ve had disappointment you want to get back on the training park and the great thing was going to The Rec and winning (19-12 against Bath in the Premiership on Saturday)” Corry said. “I think it was a four-game streak in which I hadn’t won. I am hugely disappointed by how the Six Nations went (but) when you’ve got games coming thick and fast you can’t afford to feel sorry for yourself. ” Pat Howard the Leicester coach has made one change to the team who won away to Bath.

“Philippe would be a great candidate but I don’t know if he would leave Sale now with his work unfinished. “He’s left jobs early before and others have reaped the fruits of his efforts. “We’ve reached the knockout stage of the Heineken Cup for the first time and have been top of the Guinness Premiership since last ctober. “I’d expect Philippe to want to see the job through over the next couple of years. “But I’m sure he would make a great international coach. He’s so astute tactically and knows rugby inside out British French Italian and the southern hemisphere. He understands our culture.
