    ERC committee hears Quinlan appeal against six-week ban

However Munster have appealed the severity of the punishment which would rule him out of their last two Heineken Cup pool games against Bourgoin and Leicester.

    The members of the high performance group will participate in Irish squad sessions to prepare them to step into the national team structures. Players will move in and out of the group depending on performance injury and succession into the national team. They will spend most of their time working in the provincial structures but will be analysed by the High Performance Unit and national management during Magners League and Heineken Cup games. Tailored coaching will be applied to each player in consultation with the provincial coaching structures and the national team coaching staff. Players named in the high performance group are:Leinster: Luke Fitzgerald Jamie Heaslip Trevor Hogan Robert Kearney Kieran Lewis Ronnie McCormack. Connacht: Daniel Riordan. Munster: Barry Murphy.

    “We have a lot of young players coming through here at Stradey and Adam offers a bit of experience” Scarlets coach Phil Davies told the club website. “I’m sure Adam will do a good job for us as he has gained plenty of experience in England and Europe. Since graduating from Widden ld Boys and the club’s academy Eustace has made 129 appearances in the Premiership and a further 18 in the Heineken Cup.
