Wales in crisis after Fiji defeat
    Telegraph.co.uk – Oct 1, 2007
After April 2005 Welsh rugby enjoyed its most profitable times. Although never blase the Welsh Rugby Union had sponsors knocking down the door desperate to claim a piece of the new-found optimism within the Principality. The union attacked their mounting debt with confidence and though the Heineken Cup was a bridge too far for the four Welsh regions there was a significant upturn in playing fortunes both in the Magners League and the EDF Energy Cup. If history is anything to go by the same investors will be queuing to leave this week after the latest calamity. A nation which loves to enjoy is without doubt preparing itself to endure yet another period of uncertainty and instability. The finger of accusation has pointed and will continue to point at Jenkins and his coaching team for an international record that makes for uncomfortable reading.
